Back to Contacting

Servus!
It's been a good week. The weather has been pretty good, and not quite as much rain as I expected. And, our schedule has started to open up some more, so we have had more time to go out and find new investigators! And, I'm actually really enjoying it. My confidence in contacting is starting to grow, and we have had some really good experiences. We ran into a lot of people we know on the street, and this weekend there were a lot of tourists around, so that was cool. It is weird hearing English being spoken so much on the street!
Wow, I can't think of really that much to report on this week. It was just good, but nothing really out of the ordinary happened. We did have a cool contacting experience when we started a contact by talking about family history, then our contact asked about english classes, then asked about what we believe! So it was a very well rounded contact, and we have a lot of options for how to work with him now!
Sunday was good, I interpreted for P in sacrament meeting, and I am glad to say that the practice is helping me improve. I still can't catch everything for him, and I miss a lot of phrases, but my translation is a little more coherent now. Stream interpretation is really a brain exercise! And this is just going from Romanian to English!

Then today, we played paintball again! Both Elder S and I were kind of tired, as we both hadn't been feeling too well over the weekend, but I pulled out some energy to play from somewhere. It really is a lot of fun, and great district bonding time.
I really can't think of much to say. I'll close with a scripture, that gives us the reason we have scriptures in the first place.

31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.

Salvation and eternal life does not come through the scriptures, it comes through Christ. The scriptures are given to us so that we can come unto Christ and believe in him.
Thanks for reading!
Elder Lybbert
