Busy, busy, busy!

Hello everyone!

I'm writing today since we had zone conference on Monday, and I am absolutely exhausted! We have kept pretty busy lately. But I am doing good. And, it is now one year since my mission call was issued. How crazy is that!

Investigator wise, things are going well with L. He really participated in our plan of salvation lesson, and all his answers were totally relevant and we were able to respond with the amazing answers that our message gives! He really doesn't like the idea of people being thrown into hellfire when they die if they weren't good enough, and our message seemed to click. He was out of town visiting his parents on the weekend so he couldn't come to church, but I am stoked to meet with him again this week.

We also had a really cool experience with a less active member last week. We were given a list of less actives to try and set up with to go to on splits with the members. However, we forgot to take the list home, and ended up calling a different name than we had been assigned. He answered and agreed to let us come over. He has a really strong testimony of the restored gospel, but he has been going with his family to their church for a long time since he is the only member in the family. I really felt that we were sent there for a reason, and he felt that way too. And he promised to come to church next Sunday! It was great!

We had a lot of celebrating to do last week since it was my companion's birthday on Tuesday and another Elder's on Thursday! So we had to go out for lunch both those times. And since our schedule was so busy the rest of the week, we ended up eating out 5 times! For my wallet's sake, we really need to get back on a normal schedule, but since I got refunds from the zone leaders (for bills and travel) I have plenty of funds again.

We went on a trip to Gherla on Friday to visit one of our old potential investigators, and it was really nice. Gherla is a really pretty little town. It is really nice to go out of Cluj every once in a while to see the countryside. And we planted a good seed for the future, since the kid we met with will be coming to Cluj once he is done high school.

Gee, I feel I have so much to report on since I am writing later and so much happened. I have to focus on the important stuff. Zone conference on Monday was great! We went down to Arad Sunday afternoon, a 5 hour train ride. We got to see the city a bit before going to bed, and it is really pretty at night.

The conference was a lot of fun, and the most spiritual and inspiring zone conference I have been to yet. It was great, and a lot of fun to spend time with my old companions and mission friends. Elder C has his new yoyo, and he is getting pretty good. My best student I have had so far. ( He also stocked me up with some new strings.)

And, we have to run now. I might get to do a little more tomorrow or something since we are getting cut short now. We are doing a member visit tonight, and we got here to the library late.

Pa!

Elder Lybbert
