Hi Everyone!
I
made it to Braşov! It is an incredible city. SO beautiful. The city is
actually wrapped around a mountain, and it is super green here. And, our
apartment is right next to the old city center, with the big old church
and main square and all the coolest parts of town right down the street.
Transfers was a little rough since it was pouring rain
Wednesday night and I got soaked while pulling my already damaged
suitcases through flooded streets, but it is all worth it now.
The
district is great too. Elder B and Elder H are really cool, laid
back and content, but hard workers too. And Sora R is really fun,
and incredibly successful as a missionary. The sisters now have 6
investigators with baptismal dates. Sora H is our brand new sister,
from Tasmania! She is adjusting great for her first week! It's not easy,
but she is doing really well.
Elder B and I only have a couple potential investigators
to work with at the moment, but we had the chance to go with the sisters
to one of their lessons on Saturday. An older lady was baptized just
last week (and confirmed yesterday), and now her four grandsons have a
baptismal date, and the sisters are teaching them. They wanted the boys
to have some male role-models, so we will come to the lessons now and
then. They are aged 8, 9, 10, and 12, and are awesome kids.
And I got to meet the branch on Sunday! It isn't quite as big
as the branch in Cluj, more around the size Constanta was. We had 25
people at sacrament meeting. The members are really nice, and I am
excited to get to know them. And we had a confirmation, and it was
amazing. The spirit was really strong, and it was just such a happy
experience. Great things are happening in Brasov.
