My Pastry Shop

Elder Lybbert found his very own Pastry Shop.  Well, at least it has his name!
Hi everyone!
Brasov is doing great! And so am I, in fact. This is a great place. I don't feel so lost in the city any more and I am starting to adapt to the responsibilities of a district leader.

We had zone training in Sibiu this week, and that made for a fun reunion. Our zone is great. It was weird seeing my old Cluj district again, since Cluj almost seems like it was a dream. Funny how transfers do that.

The missionary work in Brasov is going alright for us, we had a lesson with a new investigator this week and we had a great experience with a partly active family. The father doesn't come to church because of work, but he has a 12-year-old son who is a deacon and an 8-year-old who isn't baptized yet. But when we went over, the 8-year-old was super excited and really wanted to get baptized, and the dad approved too. His older brother has been helping teach him the principles of the gospel, and they are both super awesome! They both came to church on Sunday. Those kids have so much potential and will be great leaders in the church someday.

And on Sunday afternoon, we got the chance to go out to the Feldioara group sacrament meeting! There is a new member group in a town about 30 minutes out of the city. But it was so cool to be there. In this little town of maybe 5000 people, there were 8 adults and 7 kids that came to church. We met in a small room, but the spirit really resonated in there, and it was a beautiful experience for me.

And things are going great with me and Elder B. It's like he is my long lost 3rd brother. He is just so similar to Reggie and Jarom in so many ways. It's great.

English is starting this week, and I have high hopes for the class.  We have been trying really hard. We have posters up, and last night we did chalk contacting for English in the park. That seemed to work pretty well, and it was a lot of fun. It got people's attention, and made it a lot easier to talk to them.

Thought for the week, from Alma 45.This chapter contains Alma's final sermon, his last words to his sons. He knew it would be the last and this is what he chose to say. In verses 2-6 he gives Helaman three questions, the three things he wants his son to remember.

And it came to pass in the nineteenth year of the reign of the judges over the people of Nephi, that Alma came unto his son Helaman and said unto him: Believest thou the words which I spake unto thee concerning those records which have been kept?
And Helaman said unto him: Yea, I believe.
And Alma said again: Believest thou in Jesus Christ, who shall come?
And he said: Yea, I believe all the words which thou hast spoken.
And Alma said unto him again: Will ye keep my commandments?
And he said: Yea, I will keep thy commandments with all my heart.
Then Alma said unto him: Blessed art thou; and the Lord shall prosper thee in this land.

Once Helaman confirmed that he knew the importance of the scriptures, had a testimony of Christ, and was committed to keep the commandments, Alma was satisfied. I want to make sure that these things take prominence in my life as well.

Thank you for reading! Thanks for all the love and support!

Vă iubesc!
