Amazing Zone Conference!

Hi everyone!

Just so you know, our P-day will be on Thursday next week so that we can prepare for and hold a special thanksgiving feast. We are going to make it a big potluck and invite everyone we know, so this will be big. I'm going to learn how to cook a turkey!

This was a really cool week. The zone conference in Bucuresti was the most inspiring I have ever had! Elder Kearon is amazing! He was so sincere and understanding about everything. I think everyone was expecting him to come and tell us all the things we are doing wrong and why our mission has such low numbers, but that didn't happen at all. He had done his research, he understood what our mission needs, and he did give us some areas that we need to improve on. However, he did it in such a real way, that we all really want to follow his advice. We are going to make things happen in Romania. Things are beginning to line up. There is an upward trend already starting, and we are learning the skills to turn this mission around. We are focusing on teaching more short, quality, 10 minute lessons, and there is real energy now. Not just Sibiu is on the rise, the whole mission is feeling something. Earlier this summer President Uchtdorf said that this mission was at a tipping point, and Elder Kearon said he felt inspired to say that this mission would be the next Brazil. We don't have to wait for the next generation of missionaries to make the change. It is happening now.

And on that note, we had 21 people at church! I can't believe that this is happening, since we had an average attendance of 13 last transfer, and we have gotten at least 20 every week so far this transfer. Sibiu is being prepared for growth, and baptisms.

There are going to be Christmas zone conferences, we don't know much about them yet. We know that the Ivorys really like holidays though. We all got a special advent book with a special song or story or activity for each day.

Thanks for reading!

Elder Lybbert
