And
I have to leave beautiful Sibiu! I have made so many friends here and
learned so much. It will be hard to say goodbye after 6 months, but it
is time for me to learn new things in a new city. I will be spending
tonight and tomorrow cramming in as many goodbye lessons as we can.
There are 6 people I really need to meet before I go, and I hope they
all work out. I have to get all my packing done
too. What is amazing is how much better this area is doing compared to
when I arrived. My first transfer in Sibiu we only had one or two
investigators.
Oh, and my new
city will be Galati (gah-LAHTS), on the banks of the Danube! I'm
leaving Transylvania and heading east! And I will be serving with Elder
F as zone leaders for the Romania East zone, covering Galati, Iasi,
Bacau, and Constanta! I will finally get a chance to go back to my
first area in Constanta!
But I
am super excited for Galati. Elder W served there this summer
and is telling me all about it. It is a small branch like Sibiu, and
until last summer, had a missionary branch president. But there is now a
Romanian branch president, and in August and September they had three
baptisms, and the recent converts sound really cool. I think I will
learn to love Galati quickly.
In
Sibiu, Elder D will be staying and will be the new district
leader, and there is no one I would trust more with the job. Big things
are about to happen here. The sisters' investigator has a
baptismal date goal set for Dec 27, and the branch is getting stronger.
Elder C will also be staying in Sibiu, as well as Sora O.
I
am really looking forward to this next transfer. And Christmas is
coming too! There are some pretty amazing decorations going up all over
Sibiu and I hope I can find some time to take some pictures before I
leave!
Thanks for reading!
Elder Lybbert
