This was a great week, since we
celebrated the church's 25th anniversary here! 25 years ago Elder Russell M.
Nelson dedicated the land of Romania for the preaching of the gospel.
There was a special broadcast from Bucuresti, that we watched here in
Galati for the third hour of church. It was wonderful. President S had been called in to Buc for a special training meeting along with the
event, so I presided and conducted the meetings again here. It was
really cool, since we had 24 people that watched the broadcast, a very
big number for Galati. Then, we had a birthday party for the church, and
there was a wonderful feeling of unity and strength in the branch that I
have never felt so strongly. Galati made some big steps this week.
Also,
I was able to attend Mission Leadership council this week, and it was
also inspiring. We talked a lot about the new Europe Area Plan for 2015,
and how we are going to implement those principles here. It is pretty
exciting.
We have a fun week coming, with an
exchange with the Assistants to the president and also an exchange with
the Bacau elders, both of those exchanges in Galati. It will be a good
week. We have a lot of work to do to strengthen the branch, but we are
heading in a good direction. We made great progress last week, and some
little miracles showed how the Lord loves this branch too.
