Hi Everyone!
I really enjoyed my Skype
call yesterday, and I am doing really well. Spring is a great time to
be a missionary, and Bucuresti is a great place to be.
We
are focusing a lot on finding new friends for our teaching pool, since
our current ones are becoming hard to meet with. But there are some cool
things happening. A taxi driver came to church on Sunday,
since he drove the Ivorys from the airport twice in an interesting
coincidence, and they invited him to come. We made his acquaintance
there and will meet with him this week. He is a really cool man.
We
also had MLC this week. I learned a lot, and I want to be much more
active and helpful as a zone leader now. I have collaborated a lot with
the sister training leaders already about how we can work together to
really inspire the zone and be connected with them. Basically, it will
just take excellent communication and commitment on our part.
Also
this week, for the first time, I met a fellow yo-yoer! We were talking
to these three teenagers in the park about English classes, and as they
left, I noticed one of them had a yo-yo in his hand. An actual aluminum
Yoyofactory yo-yo. We swapped yo-yos and played for a bit, and I got his number and we will do it again on a coming weekend. I am
excited.
I also had an exchange with Elder
D this week. It was good. He is a hard worker, and it felt good to
spend another day with him. (I served with him in Sibiu). This week I should be going on exchange with Elder C! That will be
cool. It's weird, since he was less active most of my time in Sibiu, but
now he is here in Bucuresti on a mini-mission.
Thanks for reading!
Elder Lybbert
