It's been a weird week, as Elder
B and I have still been trying to figure out how to be
"international" missionaries, and to find international people here in
Bucharest, but we seem to be getting our bearings now. We have started
to get in contact with all the international members here, and I think
that they will be our main resource. For example, we visited a less
active member from Cameroon, and he has a group of friends from all
different parts of Africa and the world that play soccer every Saturday,
so we are going to go with him and make some new friends this week. We
also met a guy from Paris who is in an ultimate frisbee team with a
bunch of international people. Sports may be our in to meet all sorts of
new people.
We also had MLC this week, which
was helpful. My 9th and last one. Our mission has made so much progress
in the last two years, and I am so happy to see it in such a good state.
This
Sunday was significant, as a new president was called in the Panduri
Branch. President D, who was just released as district president,
will be the new branch president. And we had 84 people in attendance.
The
zone challenge for this week was about the 84-day challenge that
President Ivory gave us for the summer. It is a checklist with all the
little things that we should be doing each day to keep us on track, and
the challenge was to get as many perfect days as possible. This week the
challenge will be about new investigators.
Thanks for reading!
Elder Lybbert
