September in Sibiu

Hello!
We had yet another crazy busy week. And not with normal missionary stuff, we just have been traveling everywhere, and dealing with lots of branch presidency business, zone finances again, and having activities with our members and other friends.

We went to Cluj again this week! I love Cluj so much! I just can't get over how much I love that city, every time I go back it just gets stronger. And the exchange went really well this time. I went with Elder F, exactly one year after I stayed in his apartment in Bucuresti my very first night in Romania! Yeah, I've been in the country for over a year now!

The new elders in Cluj really impressed me too. They know the language really well already, and have so much energy! And all the members are in great shape. I got to see a bunch of them again, since I attended choir practice, and also went home teaching with Elder F and Fratele U, to visit S and A! They are amazing members! I was so happy to see them again!

And on Sunday, President Ivory came to Sibiu! That was really cool! The members got really excited, and they are super impressed that he speaks Romanian so well. He spoke for about 20 minutes without notes or anything! And Sora Ivory and their son came too. Our branch is still small, but having president there added some real energy on Sunday. Not only that, the Sibiu Branch has been invited to the Oradea district conference, even though Sibiu is not in a district! This will be a really special opportunity for the members, since being in an isolated branch like Sibiu, they rarely if ever meet members from outside of the branch. They are real pioneers.

I really love being a missionary. It is really hard sometimes, but the good moments make it worth it. Being a zone leader has been great too. Sometimes I really dislike the responsibility, particularly when problems arise and Elder C and I have to solve them, but other times, I feel so blessed by the opportunity. Thank you all so much for encouraging me to serve.

Thanks for reading!
Elder Lybbert

And here is my new secret box! No hints on how it opens until I get home! ;)
