Hi Everyone!
Time is really flying. Summer
is ending, and it's not so hot outside anymore. Just about perfect now,
I'd say. But that won't last for long.
Sorry for writing late, but we were in Bucuresti
yesterday for mission leadership council! It was great to see President
Ivory again. This mission is great, and though the progress is slow and
gradual, things are starting to pick up a bit across the mission. I
can't wait to see what happens in September, with everyone coming back
from summer vacation and all that.
We had a great meeting, and I am
feeling really inspired to go out and try to use more creative
contacting methods. We can't make people think we are robots, we have to
just be ourselves, connect with people, and then we will be able to
really interest them and help them want to learn more.
I'm really tired now, since we had
a 6 hour train on Sunday to get to Bucuresti, then 6 hours yesterday
afternoon/evening. And, since we have English today, we don't get a full
p-day, but I don't mind too much. I'm feeling more motivated and want
to inspire other missionaries by my example. (I hope I don't have to
fake it too much to actually do that...heh)
I also did an exchange with Elder
Cooper this week! It was a lot of fun, and one of the most focused days
of missionary work I have had in a while. We met with E, visited
with a member in the mental hospital again, and had a good contacting
session and talked with some awesome people. Also, I used the bidet in
Elder Cooper's apartment, and, when we were contacting, bought a secret
box! It is a awesome looking little wooden box, but the best part is
that there is a secret trick to open it that is pretty hard to figure
out. I have been wanting one for a while, and it only cost the
equivalent of 10 bucks. I'll have to take a picture of it.
I'm doing great though. I love
this country, I love this mission. I just want to do my part to build
the church here, but most importantly, I want to do the will of the
Lord. I want to submit myself to him. That is where happiness comes
from.
Thanks for reading!
